All Dressed Up, And Nowhere To Go

We arrived in Bangkok the other day and have really been enjoying our time so far. We’ve already headed over to the Vietnamese Embassy to submit our visa paperwork for our upcoming entry in April, on and finished out the day Wednesday by doing some shopping at the Siam complex, then grabbing some popcorn and seeing “Alice in Wonderland” – of course, in 3-D! Today, we made our way over to the Grand Palace in east Bangkok and spent the day getting cultured, and enjoyed traveling by the local river ferry, then made our way back to our cheap but spectacular hotel down a side street in Chinatown.
But, since our arrival in Thailand two weeks ago, something has been in the back of our minds. Something big. We knew it was coming and now the day has arrived.
